The DA evaluated the case after the initial trial which resulted in 6 to 6 hung jury and dismissed the case. The Client will remain free. July 8, 2011 Houston Criminal Defense Lawyer Eric J. Davis of Davis & Associates, PLLC secures a Grand Jury "No Bill" in an Indecency with a Child case. Our office submitted a grand jury packet and obtained the "no bill" on behalf of the client. The Client will go free and not have to face trial on the charges. May 27, 2011 Federal Criminal Defense Lawyer Eric J. Davis of Davis & Associates, PLLC secures a "NOT GUILTY" verdict in an alleged $45 million dollar Federal Medicare Fraud case in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division following a jury trial. May 6, 2011 Criminal defense lawyer Eric J. Davis secures reinstatement of a deferred adjudication for his client after the client was arrested for a similar offense while on Deferred Adjudication The Client's probation was reinstated and the Client will avoid going to prison. March 23, 2011 Houston Criminal Defense Lawyer Eric J. Davis of Davis & Associates, PLLC secures a Dismissal of a Felon in Possession of a Weapon case. The criminal defense firm's client was alleged to be a habitual offender and was facing 25 to life in prison. Prior to our criminal defense firm taking over the representation, the previous attorney had a psychological evaluation order when the client refused to plead guilty. Our firm secured the client's liberty. January 14, 2011 Criminal defense lawyer Eric J. Davis submits a grand jury packet and obtains grand jury "no bills" on three child sexual abuses cases on behalf of a client (one of the cases was Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child). The Client will go free and not have to face trial on the charges. October 2010 Firm's criminal defense lawyers secure multiple dismissals and/or not guilty verdicts for the twenty-fifth straight month in criminal cases. September 24, 2010 Criminal Defense Lawyer Eric J. Davis seeks a special review of a parole board decision and obtains the release of client denied parole. The parole board changed its decision and releases the client after the client was denied parole. July 30, 2010 Criminal Defense Lawyer Eric J. Davis of Davis & Associates, PLLC secures the reversal of a Life Sentence and capital murder conviction of a child certified as an adult for an offense alleged to have been committed when the child was 15 years old. The Court of Appeals reversed the conviction and ordered a new trial. July 9, 2010 Federal Criminal Defense Lawyer Eric J. Davis of Davis & Associates, PLLC secures a "NOT GUILTY" verdict in a federal Medicare Fraud case in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division following a jury trial. March 11, 2010 Firm obtains the dismissal of a murder case previously tried by Criminal Defense Lawyer Eric J. Davis which resulted in a hung jury. Prior to setting the case for a retrial, the state reevaluated the case and dismissed. The client will go free. January 12, 2010 Criminal Defense Attorney Jackie Carpenter of Davis & Associates obtains a directed verdict of "Not guilty" in an Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child case in Harris County. Attorney Carpenter moved for an expungement of the case following the acquittal. September 2009 Davis & Associates, PLLC undertakes the representation of a man alleged to be the "Acres Home serial killer." August 17, 2009 Firm's Criminal Defense Lawyers secure a "Not Guilty" verdict in a Murder case which previously resulted in front page coverage from the Chronicle when the state struck all eligible Black jurors in earlier trial in March of 2009 (resulting in the trial date being continued to August 2009). August 13, 2009 Criminal defense lawyer Eric J. Davis secures reversal of a 75 year sentence on appeal from Jackson County, Texas. Court of Appeals orders a new trial. May 1, 2009 Firm Secures Dismissal of a Capital Murder Case.

	Prosecutors disciplined for striking all Black Jurors in a case defended by Davis & Associates, PLLC. Ms. Carpenter and Mr. Davis make the front page of the newspaper after winning the Batson challenge.
